Signing In

How to create your seller account, verify it, stay signed in, and get back in when something goes wrong.

Your dashboard account is separate from your shoppers' accounts. This page is about your login at app.ecomplify.com. Customer logins on your storefront are covered in Customer Accounts & Login.

Creating your account

  1. Go to app.ecomplify.com and choose Create account.
  2. Enter your full name, email address and a password.
  3. Complete the anti-bot check.
  4. Submit.

Password rules: at least 8 characters. There is no requirement for capitals, numbers or symbols — but a longer passphrase is still safer.

You'll receive a welcome email, and you're taken straight to creating your first shop. A banner reminds you that your email is not verified yet.

Verifying your email

You cannot sign in again until your email is verified. Verification is a 4-digit code:

  1. Open the verification page from the banner (or go to /verify).
  2. A code is emailed to you as soon as the page opens. The subject line contains the code.
  3. Type the 4 digits and submit.

Once verified you're signed in and taken to your shop list.

Things to know about the code:

  • It is 4 digits, sent by email only.
  • It does not expire on a timer. The code stays valid until a newer code is sent.
  • Resend is available after a 60-second wait. If you press it sooner, the previous code is still the valid one — check your inbox rather than waiting for a new mail.
  • You can request at most 6 codes in 24 hours.
  • You get 10 attempts in 24 hours to enter a code correctly. After that you must wait 24 hours.

If the mail doesn't arrive, check spam first — the sender is a no-reply address.

Signing in with Google

Both the sign-up and sign-in screens offer Continue with Google.

Google sign-in skips email verification entirely — Google has already confirmed the address, so there's no code to enter. Your Google account must have a verified email, otherwise you'll be asked to use a different account.

If you first signed up with email and password, signing in with Google using the same address links to your existing account rather than making a second one.

Staying signed in

At sign-in you can tick Remember me.

How long you stay signed in
Normal sign-inAbout 1 day
With Remember me7 days
Signed in with GoogleAbout 1 day (Remember me does not apply)

When the session ends you'll be returned to the sign-in screen — usually the moment you click something, rather than instantly.

Signing out ends the session on that browser only. If you were signed in on another computer, that stays signed in. To review and end other sessions, use the sessions screen in your account settings.

If you forget your password

Use Forgot password on the sign-in screen. Enter your email and complete the anti-bot check.

You are then taken to the verification screen, and a 4-digit code is emailed to you. Entering that code signs you in. It does not open a "choose a new password" form.

Once you're back in, change your password:

  1. Open your profile from the user menu at the top right.
  2. Enter a new password and save.
nota

Recovery works by emailing you a sign-in code, not a reset link. As long as you can receive email at your registered address, you can always get back in — but you must set the new password yourself afterwards from your profile.

Security limits you might run into

These protect your store from attackers guessing passwords. You may hit them by accident.

  • 6 wrong passwords locks the account for 24 hours. The error tells you how many attempts remain before that happens. A successful sign-in resets the counter.
  • Verification codes: 6 sends and 10 attempts per 24 hours (above).
  • Too many requests from one connection are temporarily blocked. Repeated blocks get longer, from a minute up to an hour. If you see "Too many requests", wait rather than retrying quickly.

Common questions

"Please verify your email address before logging in" Your account exists but was never verified. Go to /verify, request a code and enter it.

"Invalid email or password. N attempts remaining." The password is wrong. After 6 failures the account locks for 24 hours.

"Maximum login attempts exceeded. Please try again after 24 hours." The lockout above. It clears on its own after 24 hours — there is no way to shorten it from the dashboard.

"Password must be at least 8 characters" when signing in The sign-in form applies the same 8-character rule as sign-up. If your password predates that rule and is shorter, you'll see this message instead of a password error. Contact support.

"Invalid CAPTCHA! Please try again." The anti-bot check expired or was reused — it is single-use. The box resets itself; solve it again and resubmit.

"User not found! Please signup first." No account exists for that email. Note that accounts are per email address, so check for typos or a second address you may have used.

"This email address is not allowed" The address is a disposable/temporary mail domain, or it previously unsubscribed from our emails. Use a permanent address or contact support.

"A verification code was just sent to your email" You pressed resend inside the 60-second wait. The code already in your inbox still works.

I keep getting signed out after about a day. That's the normal session length. Tick Remember me when signing in to extend it to 7 days.

I'm signed in on a computer I no longer have access to. Open your account settings and end the other sessions from the sessions screen. Changing your password is also wise.
